Shrikhand Mahadev Kailash is a high‑altitude sacred trek in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, India, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva with a natural rock shivling at the summit (~18,570 ft) that devotees seek as a blessing. It is considered one of the toughest spiritual treks in India, blending devotion with adventure as the trail passes through forests, meadows, rivers, glaciers, and steep mountain terrain. The yatra is traditionally held mid‑July to mid‑August (Sawan month), when weather and trail conditions are best, and draws pilgrims and experienced trekkers alike.

Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer

Reach the start point (e.g., Chandigarh / Shimla) and travel to Jaon Village (trail base). Acclimatise and prepare.

Day 2 – Trek to Thachru

Start trek from Jaon ➝ Singhaad ➝ Thachru with steady ascent through forests and steep slopes.

Day 3 – Thachru to Bhim Dwar

Continue trekking via Kali Ghati and open mountain terrain to reach Bhim Dwar camp.

Day 4 – Summit Shrikhand Mahadev & Back

Trek up to the Shrikhand Mahadev Shivling summit, experience darshan, then return to camp.

Day 5 – Return Descent

Descend from Bhim Dwar to lower camps as you retrace your path.

Day 6 – Jaon & Return Travel

Complete descent to Jaon Village, then transfer back towards Chandigarh/starting point.

Day 07: Thimphu Sightseeing
